Chamrott Rottweilers is made up of Gary, Julie, Hunter, and Jordan.  We have been involved with Rottweilers since 1990.  We live on a small acreage in Victoria South Gippsland.

We purchased our first show Rottweiler in 1991 a dog we name Yeltson we travelled the country side showing and doing obedience with Yeltson.  After owning Yeltson and sharing our home with him, we never considered another breed of dog we fell in love with the Rottweiler.

Welcome to our site we hope you enjoy our dogs.

Rottweiler - The Breed

The Rottweiler is a breed of domestic dog, regarded as medium-to-large or large. The dogs were known in German as Rottweiler Metzgerhund, meaning Rottweil butchers' dogs, because one of their uses was to herd livestock and pull carts laden with butchered meat to market.

This continued until the mid-19th century when railways caused droving to be replaced with herding. Rottweilers are now used as search and rescue dogs, as guide dogs for the blind, as guard dogs and police  dogs.
